Hand-forged Candlesticks
Hot forged iron candlesticks. We make these from solid iron bar, heated red hot and hand worked into shape. Beeswax is applied whilst the metal is still hot creating a natural and superb protective coating as it cools. This traditional beeswax finish goes beautifully with all our bed paint colours.
Alive and unusual, our three designs have a magical and tactile feel to them. Something very real and very old. You’ll have to hold one in your hands to fully appreciate its character. Each a beautiful and useful object, these handmade candlesticks truly come alive when lit, enriching the mood of your room. Candles with a 20 mm diameter base fit nicely.
A little bit of our history – It all started with a hand forged candle stick
Back in the 1980’s these special and beautiful blacksmith forged candlesticks became a legacy to what later followed. They are the original pieces, recalled from a dream back then, by the company’s founder. They inspired further ideas for working with metal which led to the setting up of a forge and later, the creation of the beds and furniture available today, exclusively from The Iron Bed & Mattress Company.
