Founded by Paul Sellers in 1995 as Nights in Iron – The Forge Somerset, we are one of the leading iron bed manufacturers in the UK. We have sold thousands of beds to satisfied customers worldwide, who have also recommended us to their friends and family. Over the years, we have received great reviews and feedback and we are committed to delivering great pieces engineered to last.

Metallurgy and the creative process have laid the foundations of folklores and mythologies for centuries. In times gone by, the blacksmith was considered the king of craftsmen as he made the tools used by all other artisans.

The smith’s ability to turn raw materials into usable tools made him appear as if in possession of some kind of magic. The etymology of the term “wrought” originates from the word “worked”. In the hands of the skilful blacksmith, unpromising lengths of steel are coaxed, shaped and stressed with precision to create unique artful pieces, as the hammer blows by the fire and heat of the furnace.

Durable Sustainability

Iron, FE26, the fourth most common element in the earth’s crust, primordially deposited by meteorites in its metallic state. It is fully recyclable. From a recycled piece of iron, a new product of equal integrity will result. This makes iron, an extremely sustainable material. Although our process of production is energy intensive, this is offset by the durability and longevity of wrought iron products which will last several lifetimes and achieve the highest environmental ratings.
